The 18-hole golf course planned at Santa Barbara Plantation is being designed by Pete Dye, one of the top golf architects in the world. Pete Dye’s artistry and creative flair in his golf design is found at a number of the finest golf facilities in the United States and internationally.

The combination of the rugged terrain, Tafelberg Mountain, the Caribbean Sea and the beautiful Spanish Waters Bay creates a world class setting for the Hyatt Regency Hotel and 18-hole championship golf course. The site’s variety of topographical features will produce golf holes that are aesthetically striking and rich in character, creating a spectacular place to play for amateurs and professionals alike. The master plan provides for the 18-hole resort golf course to measure 6,920 yards from the back tees and to play to a par 72 that originates and ends near the planned 350-room resort hotel. Pete Dye is the perfect golf architect to incorporate the natural landscape amenities into the design of the championship golf course.

Amenities will include a driving range, pro shop, golf grill, locker facilities and cart storage situated near the Hyatt Regency Hotel complex. The 18-hole golf course will be one of the best in the Caribbean and the only golf course in Curacao that is located at a resort location.

The golf course is planned to be open for play in May 2009.
