A 350-room luxury Hyatt Regency Hotel is being developed at Santa Barbara Plantation. The 27-acre resort hotel site overlooks the beautiful Spanish Waters Bay and the Caribbean Sea. Following a two-year construction period, the Hyatt Regency Hotel is expected to open May 2009.

The Hyatt Regency will be a luxury hotel with exceptional facilities and amenities to position it at the top of the Caribbean resort market. The resort hotel will appeal to groups, independent travelers and business travelers desiring the highest quality facilities, service and accommodations.

The Hyatt Regency is the only planned resort in Curacao to offer 18-holes of championship golf as well as extensive meeting facilities and distinctive accommodations in a picturesque setting on Spanish Waters Bay with spectacular views of the Caribbean sunset. The 18-hole championship golf course is being designed by Pete Dye, one of the top golf architects in the world. Pete Dye’s artistry and creative flair in his golf design is found at a number of the finest golf facilities in the United States and internationally.

The property slopes dramatically from the Caribbean Sea affording extensive shoreline frontage with a natural beach, known as the popular Barbara Beach.

The resort hotel will include 330 guest room keys in the main hotel complex. An additional 20 beach bungalow units will be developed in a number of buildings situated on the hotel grounds overlooking the fairway of the first golf hole and the Caribbean Sea.

Golf pro shop and golf grill / specialty restaurant

Multi-level pool, complete with dramatic water features, an outdoor grill and lounge area, and beautifully landscaped sunbathing/cabana areas.

The Hyatt Regency Hotel is expected to open in May 2009.
